Is Camber Energy the new GME? Be Aware!

If you stay in touch with the stock market, Camber Energy Inc. (NYSE: CEI) might have popped up on your radar recently. The company has not had any new news in September but is still being traded heavily. On September 28, 2021, the total trade volume exceeded 730 million and on September 29th, the trade volume crossed 937 million, marking a never-before-seen volume.

On August 31, 2021, Camber Energy Inc. traded at US$0.5142, with an average volume of about 2 – 5 million a day. The company had some great news in August 2021, as the company secured an exclusive intellectual property license for a patented carbon-capture system.

Camber Energy, Inc. is an independent oil and natural gas company that engages in the acquisition, development, and sale of crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids (NGL) in the Cline shale and upper Wolfberry shale in Glasscock County, Texas.

Camber Energy Acquired Exclusive Carbon-Capture Technology Patent

Carbon capture is a potential modern technology solution for battling climate change. This technology allows the company to produce machinery that captures 100% of carbon emissions during the electrical power generation process, thus effectively turning the process into ‘green energy.’ This technology can also be used in other ventures such as plastic recycling operations, data centers, and crypto mining operations to eliminate the carbon footprint each of these processes generates.

Camber Energy has the exclusive rights to use this technology in all of Canada and across 25 sites in the United States.

Reducing carbon dioxide emissions or capturing and turning it into something useful is a big part of fighting climate change in the next few decades to come.

Why did Camber Energy trade almost 1 billion volume today?

As of September 29, 2021, Camber Energy’s stock price surged to a high of US$4.84, marking a growth of 841% in one month. The volumes for the last two day has surpassed 1.6 billion.

Much like the Gamestop Corporation’s meme stock frenzy early in 2021, Camber Energy has fallen (or risen) to a meme stock status as of today. With a large number of individual investors flocking over this stock and bidding the company stock price up, they expect to force short-sellers, mostly institutional investors, to close their positions.

Camber Energy Inc. stock seems to be in the midst of a short squeeze war between individual and institutional traders. Those who get on the squeeze early on can see massive gains, as we have already seen in Camber Inc.’s share price over a period of one month. However, once the squeeze draws to a close, this accelerated upward momentum of the share price will reverse equally fast. So, if you don’t pick your entry point wisely, you can be left with massive losses.
